Boxes of shoes worth almost £23k seized' after Medway lorry theft

Police investigating the incident have arrested a man

A successful intervention and disruption.

Thieves stole £23k worth of shoes from a parked lorry at the M2 MSA near Gillingham, Kent.

A joined up approach from on-site Security and Kent Police led to the arrest of one suspect and recovery of the stolen shoes, although not mentioned, lets hope the offenders HGV was also seized.

Staffordshire named as one of the UKs' worst road freight crime hotspots.

UK Road Freight Crime continues to be a £bn problem for businesses, including Insurers, Hauliers, Suppliers and the consumer / end user can be affected, both directly and indirectly by increased costs or lack of stock.

A recent news article highlights this crime epidemic and identifies the county of Staffordshire as one of the worst hotspot areas.
